Hiking
The Davis Path
and the Nancy Pond Trail are just beyond the Sub Sig cabin door. Crawford Notch,
Mt. Washington, the Southern Presidentials, the Moats, and more,
are just a short drive away. Most of the White Mountains are close enough for
an easy day trip.

Sub Sig Cabin Capers, September, 2018
Early Fall Hike From the Club House
With 120 mph wind reported on Mt. Washington, no one was about to tackle the higher peaks so
all 8 of us (Chris, Tari, Mark Levine, Wendy Fearing, Bob Asch, Dave Roy, Nancy Neyhard, and Ewa Basinski) climbed
Mt. Martha.
Martha's Mile and Owl's Head, which are all part of Cherry Mt. Clouds left over from
Friday's storm gradually cleared, making for a leisurely lunch on Owl's Head. From the top we watched the clouds lift from
the Presidentials, until the summits of all but Washington had appeared.
